BreathalEyes 2.0 is here!

At long last the video version of BreathalEyes is now available for download! The new BreathalEyes uses an improved image capturing and measuring system to provide more accurate results helping you to make better choices when it comes to alcohol safety.

The new BreathalEyes captures up to 100 frames of video of the eye over 5 seconds. The resulting images are sorted through and compared against the BreathalEyes algorithm measuring the subject's Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus. Instead of a single value you will see a range provided representing the approximation of the users' BAC. Using the app correctly is now more important than ever, please watch our instructional video for best results.

BreathalEyes version 2 will also now allow you to go social and share your results. Help spread the word about BreathalEyes and promote alcohol awareness and safety! With your continued support we will continue to improve BreathalEyes and bring an android version to the market later this year. Please visit our website www.BreathalEyes.com for more information. Always drink responsibly.

BreathalEyes Version 2.0

It has been a long time in the making, but we are finally ready to release the new and much improved BreathalEyes version 2.0. With 20,000+ downloads in over 20 countries worldwide we have been very pleased with the success of BreathalEyes so far, but we knew from the beginning we needed to improve. Our first release was only part of what we imagined BreathalEyes to be, version 2.0 brings us much closer to our original vision. Utilizing the video capabilities of your smartphone instead of the static images of the camera we are now able to get a much larger set of data. Coupled with an improved algorithm, BreathalEyes can now yield a much more accurate picture of the subjects' BAC when used properly.

As with any new product there are always setbacks, we intended to release this version last year but faced many hurdles along the way. Being a small start-up our limited resources prevented us from reaching our new version's potential as quickly as we wanted. But thanks to our brilliant programmer, Mark Freeman, and your continued support from around the globe we are finally ready. Now more than ever we hope you will download BreathalEyes and share it with your friends. When used properly it can be a great tool to help promote alcohol safety and awareness. The new release will be available for download this Friday on March 8th for $1.99, this is the last week to purchase BreathalEyes for 99 cents. All ensuing updates to those who have purchased BreathalEyes will be free. We will be posting more updates this week in preparation for our new launch so stay tuned.

Thank you for all the support,
Team BreathalEyes

BreathalEyes version 1.2 coming soon thanks to you!

We are truly grateful for the enormous response BreathalEyes has received as we usher in this New Year, it is truly amazing to see the word spreading not only across America but throughout the world. As we reach more and more people we aim to become more involved with the user experience and use your feedback to better our product. After much tweaking we are just about ready to release BreathalEyes version 1.2 which we hope will address the first of the many improvements we have planned for this exciting new technology. This is just the beginning of this technology that we believe has great potential to educate and entertain when it comes to drinking responsibly. So we are very excited to announce that version 1.2 will be coming as a free update very soon.

Improvements we have made to the app include a faster test by increasing the rate of image capture and eliminating some of the issues with false positives. BreathalEyes is not intended for sober people, but we understand the frustration some people experience when testing a person who hasn't been drinking and getting a result. BreathalEyes is programmed to assume the subject being tested has alcohol in their system, and while that is still the case, this version will hopefully eliminate some of that error and either display low values or get no results for those who are sober. The app is also now going to be in landscape mode for added stability and accuracy.

When the new version of BreathalEyes is available for download we hope you will try it out and let us know how it compares to the first version. Please also let us know of any other improvements you would like to see in the future, either with a comment here or by visiting our website at http://BreathalEyes.com/ Thank you so much for all the support!

BreathalEyes - Real talk from Rob

Thank you to everyone so far who has purchased, used, or told people about BreathalEyes! The word is spreading and we're starting to get more and more feedback. I felt it was an appropriate time to share some of my thoughts about BreathalEyes, why we created it and what it can and cannot do. As everyone is gearing up for the holiday season we hope you will continue to let people know about this new technology that we feel can help people make informed decisions when it comes to drinking alcohol.

Here also is the full unedited test comparing my results from a couple of weeks ago. As you can see I am clearly intoxicated, and BreathalEyes gave me a very solid reading in less time than it took to use the breathalyzer!

So go forth, be merry, and have a safe and happy holidays!

Inspiration from Steve Jobs

Without Steve Jobs we wouldn't be here, take 15 minutes and watch (or re-watch)  this great commencement speech he gave 6 years. While he will be missed he will never be forgotten.
