BreathalEyes version 1.2 coming soon thanks to you!

We are truly grateful for the enormous response BreathalEyes has received as we usher in this New Year, it is truly amazing to see the word spreading not only across America but throughout the world. As we reach more and more people we aim to become more involved with the user experience and use your feedback to better our product. After much tweaking we are just about ready to release BreathalEyes version 1.2 which we hope will address the first of the many improvements we have planned for this exciting new technology. This is just the beginning of this technology that we believe has great potential to educate and entertain when it comes to drinking responsibly. So we are very excited to announce that version 1.2 will be coming as a free update very soon.

Improvements we have made to the app include a faster test by increasing the rate of image capture and eliminating some of the issues with false positives. BreathalEyes is not intended for sober people, but we understand the frustration some people experience when testing a person who hasn't been drinking and getting a result. BreathalEyes is programmed to assume the subject being tested has alcohol in their system, and while that is still the case, this version will hopefully eliminate some of that error and either display low values or get no results for those who are sober. The app is also now going to be in landscape mode for added stability and accuracy.

When the new version of BreathalEyes is available for download we hope you will try it out and let us know how it compares to the first version. Please also let us know of any other improvements you would like to see in the future, either with a comment here or by visiting our website at http://BreathalEyes.com/ Thank you so much for all the support!

BreathalEyes - Real talk from Rob

Thank you to everyone so far who has purchased, used, or told people about BreathalEyes! The word is spreading and we're starting to get more and more feedback. I felt it was an appropriate time to share some of my thoughts about BreathalEyes, why we created it and what it can and cannot do. As everyone is gearing up for the holiday season we hope you will continue to let people know about this new technology that we feel can help people make informed decisions when it comes to drinking alcohol.

Here also is the full unedited test comparing my results from a couple of weeks ago. As you can see I am clearly intoxicated, and BreathalEyes gave me a very solid reading in less time than it took to use the breathalyzer!

So go forth, be merry, and have a safe and happy holidays!

Inspiration from Steve Jobs

Without Steve Jobs we wouldn't be here, take 15 minutes and watch (or re-watch)  this great commencement speech he gave 6 years. While he will be missed he will never be forgotten.

Introducing BreathalEyes

BreathalEyes has arrived, bringing patent pending technology to the iPhone that scans a person's eye to estimate an intoxicated individual's blood alcohol content (BAC). BreathalEyes - BAC Scanner is an app currently available in the App Store "intended" to be for the iPhone 4 and later. Intended, because it will work on the 3gs though the camera's resolution is not ideal nor will you be able to use the light function. An Android version is expected to be launched next year.

Just the buzz of this technology will help spread the word about the main issue here, which is alcohol awareness. Perfect for the Holidays! Responsible drinking is important all year 'round. So lets start today and keep it in check this Holiday Season. "Scan" your friends and family with BreathalEyes - BAC Scanner!

Now for the explanation: During a field sobriety test a police officer conducts what is commonly known as the "Pen Test". The subject is supposed to hold their head still while they follow the officer's "pen" from side to side with their eyes. An intoxicated individual's eye usually "twitches" or "bounces" as they approach the left or right side. That bounce is known as horizontal gaze nystagmus (HGN). BreathalEyes' goal is to measure the subject's HGN as accurately as possible and estimate their BAC.

The more people that buy BreathalEyes the more people that are consciously thinking about theirs and other's BAC. You can even gift it to them in iTunes. From your purchase and feedback we will be able to improve upon our technology and user experience. There's a great video on BreathalEyes.com.

So get our there and tell everyone about BreathalEyes. You could save a life!

Have a safe and Happy Holidays!
